All the new prostheses are marketed with a surplus of hair, reason whya hair-cut becomes necessary. The specialist will not change the style of the prosthesis since this one is already preconceived. The setting in folds will facilitate the maintenance and the way you wear your prosthesis. The use of a double-faced adhesive band offers also more safety.

• Do not forget to ask whether the prices included the initial and later expenses of adjustment, cut and setting in folds.
• Test several prostheses before stopping your choice.
• Make sure of the following: is the prosthesis comfortable? Is it flexible? How does it move when you turn the head? Does it itch? Is it too hot?
  
• Finally, ask yourself if the general aspect of your prosthesis is appropriate to you, if you feel good carrying it, and that finally if it holds well in place and that the adjustment is adequate without being to tight.

As for the human hair, the synthetic or natural prostheses must be maintained and washed to ensure a quality of hygiene.The odors tend to remain impregnated in the bonnet of the prosthesis, therefore the importance to wash it according to the frequency of use.
